Machine learning in health service

A multidisciplinary research team at the University of Alberta is leveraging health-related, lifestyle, socio-economic, and other data to employ machine learning programs, predicting the future mental and physical health of aging Canadians. Led by Principal Investigator Bo Cao, the team aims to contribute to individualized patient care and healthy aging, utilizing top-notch data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging. The studies explore the concept of a "BioAge gap" and the accurate prediction of depression onset, with the ultimate goal of refining these models for real-world implementation.
