Founders and experts work together to address challenges, drive growth, and scale their businesses. This program goes beyond coaching, as experts create tailored deliverables to meet your unique needs. It's an exceptional opportunity to access top-tier talent at no cost.

Executive in Residence

Students, graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and faculty at Edmonton’s post-secondary schools who are building tech-enabled or innovative companies can access the support of an Executive in Residence (EIR). This free program provides mentorship, advising, and resources to help participants on campus start or scale their ventures. Run in partnership with seven regional post-secondary institutions—Athabasca University, Concordia University, The King's University, MacEwan University, NAIT, NorQuest College, and the University of Alberta—the program is facilitated by a team of Executives with diverse expertise and real-world experience who are ready to assist you in advancing your idea or business..

PSI Business Development Support Program

The BDS program, like the Expert on Demand program, matches entrepreneurs coming out of Edmonton’s post secondary institutions with subject matter experts who will help them move their innovation-based project or startup closer to market.


Startup Programs

DEVELOPING NEW BUSINESSES

ERIN, through funding provided to Edmonton Unlimited, helps entrepreneurs:

  • Use Lean Canvas to map out and validate their ideas via Business Model 101. A core belief of this workshop is that a solid foundation will set businesses up for success.

  • Learn the basics of user research and product refinement through the Discover and Validation workshop.

  • Assemble and test their minimum viable product so that they can refine and validate their ideas through the Build, Test, and Learn program.
