The purpose of the Governance Sub-Committee is to review language and make policies related to the management of ERIN. This includes ensuring that policies are compliant with ERIN’s statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements, as well as any other relevant governance standards. The Governance Sub-Committee also reviews ERIN’s internal control systems and processes, making sure that they are effective, efficient, and in line with the organisation’s Strategic Plan.

 

Richard Roy, Chair - ERIN governance Sub-Committee, DiscoveryLabs

Richard Roy supports operations at DiscoveryLab, helping to build and strengthen the innovation ecosystem through event coordination, information sharing, and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas. In his volunteer role, he contributes to scaling DiscoveryLab’s offerings, including the development of a customized CRM tool to better serve innovators. With expertise in business development, product development, and regulatory support, Richard also brings a strong background in policy and governance, making him a valuable contributor to the growth of Alberta’s innovation community.

 

Ann Nguyen, Founder of alberta travel living

Ann Nguyen is a multilingual entrepreneur and strategy advisor. Currently involved with Alberta Travel Living Inc., she brings a unique blend of operational insight and cultural fluency. A post‑graduate theology student and MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship candidate, Ann is passionate about guiding others—whether helping startups, sharing travel expertise, or nurturing community connections.

 

Hussam Tungekar, Primus Workforce

A seasoned operations leader and business growth strategist, he leverages his strategic insight and diverse experience to drive organizational development and advocate for diversity initiatives. Hussam holds a degree from Simon Fraser University and is recognized for his commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.

 

Dr. Richard Perlow,  Dean of the School of Business at MacEwan University

Dr. Richard Perlow is the Dean of the School of Business at MacEwan University, with over 20 years of experience in higher education. Formerly Associate Dean at the University of Lethbridge’s Dhillon School of Business, he has taught extensively in human resource management and organizational behaviour. His research focuses on performance, counterproductive work behaviour, and employment discrimination, with publications in leading academic journals.
