Alberta Innovates Welcomes Dr. Michael Mahon as Interim CEO

The Alberta Innovates Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Mahon as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024. Dr. Mahon, former president of the University of Lethbridge, brings over 35 years of leadership experience in Alberta’s research and innovation sectors. Board Chair Tony Williams expressed confidence in Dr. Mahon's ability to guide Alberta Innovates through this transition, emphasizing his vision, expertise, and collaborative approach. Dr. Mahon’s primary focus will be supporting Alberta Innovates' team and partners while preparing for the next strategic phase.
