Join Bow Valley College at its 8th Annual Startup Bootcamp (in-person and online via Zoom) to help aspiring, early-stage, first-time, student, rural, and underrepresented entrepreneurs from all walks of life take their idea(s) to the next level.

 

Tickets start at just $10, and you can purchase tickets for individual sessions or the entire weekend – Friday, May 10, at 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 12, at 12:30 p.m.

Ticket proceeds go towards the Crowd-Favourite Pitch Competition held on a Sunday morning.

Thinking about starting a business or side hustle?

 

If so, join us to learn how to:

·      Validate promising business ideas

·      Compete in a Crowd Favourite Pitch Competition that gives away all the registration fees from the event.

·      Start a company without draining your bank account, bruising your ego or ruining your reputation using the Norwegian board game Playing Lean by Bruno Pešec.

 

Over the weekend, participants are put on teams led by some of Alberta's most promising first-time entrepreneurs, learn how to validate promising business ideas, and compete in a Crowd-Favourite Pitch Competition.

 

All participants receive free access to VentureBlocks an online simulation tool by Heidi Neck and Anton Yakushin that teaches how to interview customers and identify needs.

 

All in-person participants in the Saturday morning sessions receive a free copy of Testing Business Ideas by David Bland and Alexander Osterwalder.

 

Students participating in person or online receive a free copy of Founded by Melissa Kaufman and Mike Raab.

 

Students also receive free access to Ash Maurya's Traction Roadmap and Customer Factory, which is part of LEANSTACK.
